The question people ask me the most is
“How do I stay on track when food is the focus of so many activities & parties?”
Truly, I always bring something that I know I can eat.
Often I am able to find parts of different food items that fit into my eating plans.
I don’t have to sample everything. I know it feels that way.
But I chose to eat the way I do to feel the way I feel!
The first time I made this dip,
I was attempting to mimic a cheese ball that I buy at the grocery store.
But then I thought adding bacon would make it better.
So I did.
Then I thought sausage would be good as well.
And it sure was!
And so this evolved into a favorite dip for my family.
I’ve brought this to a few different gatherings
where I was worried about how I would be able to stay on track.
I know what you are thinking,
can’t you go off track sometimes, have a cheat meal.
For sure I can…BUT
that excuse can get very slippery.
There are so many times where I could easily
snack a little here, nibble a little there, and before long, I’ve fallen off the horse!
So this is my go too!
Bacon Sausage Dip
I always pair it with cucumbers and mini bell peppers.
Can I add something about mini bell peppers?
The bag says 3 peppers or 85 grams makes a serving.
I ALWAYS weigh my serving of veggies.
You get more than 3 peppers!
So weigh your veggies for sure!

Bacon Sausage Dip
makes sixteen 1/4 cup servings
1.2g carbs | 24g fat | 11g protein | 268 calories
1 lb pack of bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 lb sausage, cooked
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 c full fat sour cream
1/2 c mayonaisse
4 oz sharp cheddar cheese, grated
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
Combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and mayo until well mixed.
Add remaining ingredients and combine thoroughly.
It tastes better cool, so I always refrigerate it
for a little while before serving.
