Yes I know this is pumpkin.
I LOVE pumpkin so much
that I believe it can be consumed
any time of year.
Honestly,
this protein shake tastes like
pumpkin ice cream.
So, a few months back
when I set out
to make myself a pumpkin protein shake
I used canned pumpkin,
put it in the smoothie
and tried to add tons of ice to thicken.
I am going to share my secret
that makes this
SOOOO awesome!
First of all
I freeze the canned pumpkin in ice cube trays.
I just fill the tray to the top with pumpkin
freeze it
then pop it out of the tray
and break up into cubes.
You can then put the leftovers in
baggie and keep them in the freezer.
Ingredients:
2 cups fat free milk
4 cubes of canned pumpkin
1 scoop protein powder
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
splenda or stevia to taste
8-10 ice cubes
Add all ingredients in the blender
and press the smoothie button 🙂
I promise
buying a great quality blender
makes all the difference.
You could add just cinnamon
or each individual spice that is
pumpkin pie
(cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg,and all spice)
but just getting
the pumpkin pie spice
