I am just going to jump right in with my results.
Being exact really paid off this week.
I lost 4.5 lbs!
I am now down 23.3 lbs!
But if you read last weeks post
I wrote about my overall weight loss journey.
So along those lines,
from my highest weight,
I am down 96.3 lbs!
Can I tell you
I haven’t been in the 180’s
in 13 years!
That is a really long time!
I have struggled with my weight for so long
that it almost feels unreal!
I kind of did a double take
when I got on the scale!
Could it really be that
I am in the 180’s?
I did a little jig after that!
The greatest part of this process
is the reminders
that food doesn’t have to control me!
I had an absolute melt down!
I got myself in such a funk!
I had gotten so down on myself
that I freaked out
at my poor family!
Yelled at everyone.
Complained about the state of our home
that is messier than I like.
I made everyone cry including myself.
It wasn’t like me!
I went to bed so I wouldn’t yell at anyone else.
Left my amazing husband to
pick up the pieces.
Amazingly, my kids forgave me
and maybe even put in a little more effort
to keep the house in order…
at least for a few days!
This may not seem like an accomplishment
but in the past,
what would i have done?
I would have drowned my sorrow
in whatever sugary, salty treat that I could find.
I did not.
I chose to get away from the kitchen.
It was a very deliberate thought…
get upstairs away from the food
and don’t go down there for anything!
Besides getting away from the food,
I am all about sharing!
I sent messages to my
fantastic Dukan Diet inspirational friend!
She has just the right things to say to help me through.
I also have gotten very open with my husband.
I will literally say…
I am struggling
I am craving junk food
I want to eat anything bad I can find.
Just saying those things often takes the edge off
and then he is more aware and
helps me fight through the cravings!

i am strong
i can take time for me, that is okay
i am beautiful, inside and out
i CAN find time to eat a healthy balanced diet
i am not less of a person if my house is messy
i can do anything i put my mind to
