I’m too busy!

January 15, 2013

Can you tell
from my last posts
having to recommit
myself to better habits.

OVER and OVER again!!!

It kind of makes me crazy!

I sent a note to
one of the cutest girls I know…

(seriously…that is her arm…abso-freaking-lutely amazing)!!

Not only does she have an amazing arm
but she is so super sweet and
an awesome favao support!

my note was a bunch of whining
about how I am so busy
i can’t find motivation
more like i can’t stay motivated
i can’t
i can’t
i can’t!!

Before she even had a chance to reply
i happen to be sitting at the kitchen table
with my cousin
who we have guardianship of.
He kept telling me that
he can’t this
and he can’t that.
it was mostly about being quiet in school.
he is making his teacher’s crazy :).

I said to him…
there is no such thing as
I CAN’T!!!

ding, ding, ding!!!

That is what i have been saying.
This is too hard.
My life is busier than everyone else ;).
I have too much on my plate.

What am I thinking?

Shortly after this
lightbulb moment,
i came across this quote
I have to make the effort!
This is never going to happen with out me
making the effort.

I have a great therapist friend
who reminds me
that i must take care of myself first.

is taking care of myself
and yet i don’t take the time to focus on me!

That is changing!

This same friend showed us a video that I love.
It’s called Jessica’s Daily Affirmation!
I love this.
i am trying this for me.
in front of the mirror:
i am strong
i can take time for me, that is okay
i am beautiful, inside and out
i CAN find time to prep my FAVAO life
i am not less of a person if my house is messy
i can do anything i put my mind to

So guess what!
After all of this mental mulling…
i took the time to get ready.
i prepped all my food.

I’ll be better!
and if i struggle…
that is okay!
I will begin again and
look in the mirror and say:

i am strongi can take time for me, that is okayi am beautiful, inside and outi CAN find time to prep my FAVAO lifei am not less of a person if my house is messyi can do anything i put my mind to

Oh Carly!! I so empathize with you! I found a fabulous quote that really hit home with me, as I have to continually re-commit to a healthier lifestyle too.

"If you are tired of starting over, quit giving up."

I am really trying to commit to being healthier and happier and quit starting over as well. Let me know if we can workout or boost each other in some way. Having friends to support you is always a good thing 🙂 Even if we can just help each other avoid the treats at our ym activities. Good luck, sweetie and know you are not alone.

You are an amazing person and an inspiration to all of us. Thanks for the perspective!! 🙂
